I suppose that depends upon what you want it to tell you. We were third in last year's table too until the last match of the season. But we scored more points last season. The table says both things, plus how many points we have conceded.
Had Potter been in charge this season we wouldn't have made the eight. He relied heavily upon Cunningham et al to barge their way over the line from within the 10m. We don't have Cunningham et al this year, and those bargers we do have, have spent significant numbers of matches in the stands.
