Robbies is a great pint. As CM has mentioned, Veltins is a great beer, these fizzy mickey drinkers won't know what has hit them.

I'm intrigued by the fact Saints will have its own beer brand called Saints Gold. I wonder if this will be essentially a re badged version of "Dizzy Blonde" which is a light summer ale. Or if this will be a new drink perhaps an India Pale Ale.

Lager drinkers should be very happy with the choice of Robinsons, as the lager they sell is Veltins Pilsner.
This is a proper German Pilsner, not the usual Carlsberg, Fosters or Carling rubbish.
Veltins is also regarded as a summer beer due to its refreshing taste. So this seems well suited to summer rugby.

Behave, lager is a drink for your teenage girlfriend. Us real Lancashire men drink Bitter or Mild. Leave that other poop for the krauts

I can only but wish that they bring back proper hand-pulled Greenall's Bitter , the best beer I have ever drank (alongside Thwaites' Wainwright).
