I think we have the personnel, in particular in the forwards, to win a trophy. However, we need to develop a much more effective strategy for dictating the speed of the play the ball, both in attack and defence, and generally up the speed of our defensive line. If we don't do that we won't get past Wigan in either comp. However, I don't think we're as far adrift as people are suggesting. Barring a pretty big slice of bad luck we could well have won away at the league leaders last weekend, and I think Huddersfield are there for the taking while Brough is out.

Even in the games we have won and played well, our defensive line is very slow compared to the Ws'
I think with a few player back now and Warrington and Wigan out of the way, it may allow us to recharge our batteries. I thought we looked out of gas against Hudds, failed to turn up against Wigan and couldn't play for 80 minutes agianst Wire's intensity.
I agree we've got the players. We've some big forwards, a much improved Scott Moore, Rambo Roby and some backs who can look dangerous (I long to see Makinson in space again). We just need to put the team package together.

You're still one of the teams to beat even with the injuries - fast and strong and dangerous

Top 4 finish with a decent go in the playoffs. Success in the CC is a bonus for me.
I'd like to see us beat the big team hoodo this season, i reckon.

I think we have a small chance, if we improve a few areas on the training park and perhaps if we get Pryce and Clough back without any significant losses, that we could come good and grab a pot, but I can understand the bookies making us outsiders.

A cup final appearence would do me. We should be able to get a result at home to Hull KR and as long as we don't draw the winners of the Wire/Wigan game we would be favourite to progress in the semi as well. I am not convinced that when it comes down to it Huddersfield will beat us in a big game. They are very good this year but they are not up with Wigan and Wire at the moment.

If we can get to Wembley I would not be that concerned with the League.

I agree with the part of your post that we have the forwards to challenge for a cup but our backs ain't good enough.
