So why play him at 9 when he's playing well in the backrow and we've got a England international hooker waiting to get his chance to play 9?
Ha, ha! I knew that was coming.
I think you use the term 'international' in its broadest possible sense. Moore played against Wales, I believe, and hasn't featured in the international side since.
I will end this now. My concern is who is going to organise in the absence of Roby because the whole team has been playing off Roby. Simmons himself has said this. So Roby is considered as crucial to the team's game plan and structure. If Simmons thinks that Moore can step into that role - regardless of the number on the shirt - then so be it. I have confidence in Simmons. However, I'm not convinced Moore is best suited to taking that job on. I am convinced Wilkin could do it. Whether that means the team plays off Wilkin at loose rather than Roby at hooker and Moore metaphorically slips on the 9 shirt or Wilkin slips on the shirt and takes on Roby's organisational role I don't know but I just don't think Moore has the maturity, consistency, experience or rugby brain to do it. If I'm proven wrong that would be great because that would mean we have another real talent in the team. I don't expect to be proven wrong but I certainly wouldn't object to it.
