It depends what you mean by brilliant. We didn't play brilliantly. We were knackered and wounded and we panicked here and there. We worked bloody hard and those last 15 minutes were tremendous. So ... if you're putting today's match in the same bracket as Friday's in terms of quality of rugby league then I would strongly disagree. The two were miles apart. Effort? Determination? Sheer bloody minded never-say-die attitude with a ballsy final kick from Jamie Foster who would be my hero if I was anything like young enough? Oh yeah, definitely in the same bracket. Not a brilliant game, but a brilliant effort. And I was yelling and jumping up and down and shouting encouragement for those last 15 minutes as much as everyone else was.

So stop being snotty.

Staying there now is going to be impossible until we get some experienced players back into the side. We have done magnificently to get there and all credit to the coaching staff and the players but we cant rely on kids to do the job week in week out. Having said that this experience the kids/fringe players are getting will stand us in great stead in the future. I am delighted dont get me wrong but we also have to be realistic.

if you would of told me after the Harlequins game we'd have 12 injuries within the squad (wello, gaskell, wheeler, perry, clough, pryce, eastmond, flannery, makinson, moore and lomax) after 12 games gone and that castleford would be a big game table wise i'd of assumed the worst for our season, credit to the lads though, so many set backs we've had to deal with this year and we've come out fighting, the only game where i have been genuinly dissapointed has been against quinns, good season so far, lets hope theres more to come, COYS!

As long as your there or there abouts at the end of the season it doesnt matter really, wigan saints and hudds can all be level at the top of the league if we win our game in hand, shows how competitive the league is! At least eddie wern't spouting at the end of the bradford match how wire are top of the league as he was after fridays brilliant wigan saints derby.
