Phil Bentham scoured the video tape and despite conclusive evidence that Smith was a half yard offside, he allowed the try to stand. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Saints are a big-game team with bags of big-game experience. They have won five Challenge Cups from six final appearances in the Super League era and have won five Grand Finals in that time too.
Add two World Club Championships to that and you have the roll-call of the best rugby league team this country has produced in the modern-era - and it's a phenomenal record. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ancient & Royal wrote....

I am ashamed to be a Wigan fan hell yes, what have we got to be un-ashamed about? We are a joke, a laughing stock, we are NOTHING, why cant people understand!"
Some old Wigan names there, was they playing the last time you watched a game?
Look, I'm sick of hearing about every excuse under the sun for why we lost yet nobody said what great game it was. Certain people want to talk about all the negatives and forget about all the positives.
It just bores me the fact that certain people on here can't lose a game without having to go on about the ref, assaults, forward pass and now obstruction.
Listen flower, I'll call it however I see it.
Been going since I could, 1996. I'm nobody's flower either!
I know you call it how you see it, we know it all too well. Wish you'd keep a sock in it a bit more than you do. Fans just don't like to lose, it's human nature and most feel the need to try to justify it somehow to make them feel better. It's how it works, why get so irate about it?
If this was a conversation all we'd be doing is listening. You're not an ex copper as well are you?

It was in the second half, but it was about how the ball came out from either Soliola or Puletua. Would that be the same incident?
It would if it was in the first half because Soliola was involved in the play leading up to that try. The ref and the touchie were in discussion a little while and then the try was awarded. It was either the first or second of Armstrong's tries, I can't remember exactly. Our very first crossing was chalked off due to a forward pass. I think the poster has conflated a couple of incidents.
Wello dropping the ball with the line beckoning, not kicking for touch with the last penalty,a poor kick straight to tompkins, switching off in defence with 1 minute to go are more why we lost than the forward pass, the game was there to be won and without being harsh on our younger players an older head would of helped to win it in the last few minutes
