Basically we where just a whole team for once. Everyone played to their ability. Even with some guys out there who probably would not normally play. ie Wellens - ribs, Clough and TP - diseased midweek.
Lomax injured on Friday night.
All stood up and provided the effort, even if they had lost I would have been pleased with the effort.
TP was deseised? Good god. Clough stood up and got himself back on, but Perry still only played minimal minutes. Jammer pulled up the slack though.
The more stories you hear about Lomax the more emarkable a yongster he sounds.
We know he plays with a steel plate in his head.
Clarke's anecdote about him taking the refs exam and getting 100% was interesting.
Someone, (i think Ski) posted a story about seeing him out on the town with his mates, and he was drinking water when they were all sloshed.
Royces words about his confidence in their meeting midweek.
Add to that he seems like a committed defender as well as a good attacker, he sounds like the type of kid any coach would want.
