If he is so keen to come back, then take him on a pay as you play contract. If his performances are crap, or he is injured, he costs the club nothing. If he is doing the business on the field, he gets wonga. If we win the CC or GF, he gets mega wonga. No lose situation for Saints, and also for Long, providing he performs.

I'm not saying it's a great idea btw but if Kyle (in a Ray French style) 'suddenly' left then Long could be brought back to help develop our young halfbacks and provide experienced cover until we could get a proper replacement......
