Im very puzzled as we have been told we have sold more season tickets this compared to last year at KR.

That means that either our regular and occasional non-season ticket fans don't fancy it or there are not as many dire fans either because we haven't given them enough tickets or they don't fancy it which would be odd.

Any know how many tickets we gave them and they sold for the SL match at KR last year?

we brought 6500 last year but we the tickets we gone straight away and this year it was a race to get them at the start plus not many made available for trade in season tickets and not many people no wen we have more and wen they sell out. we sold about 3500-4000 this year

6,800 last year. For Friday, our allocation is just shy of 3,000.

To be fair though, you lot were whinging like mad about the allocation, saying season ticket holders would snap up the lot, when in reality there were still plenty left out of the initial 2500 even after season ticket holders had received their fill of tickets.

Any wire fan that wants to go can go. Nothing stopping wire fans from picking up tickets at Warrington, or buying from Saints. Or turning up on the night and buying tickets.

I suspect the main reason such numbers travelled last year was the belief you would do us at the last ever KR match, and you all wanted to be there.

When you failed, this match just became another away game. Hence far less demand.

Just logged on to the ticketing allocations, still around 2000 seats left in the South Stand, West and East Stands almost full, North Stand 80 seats left. As already mentioned looking like 10 11 k.

North stand has just shy of 200 unsold seats in H block alone.
Altogether of seats avaialble to Saints fans i make it around 300 -350 unsold in the North stand.

Southstand is looking pretty empty, bar corporate seats at the back and D block on the half way line which lookks 3/4 filled.
The other blocks from A to H have only a smattering of sold tickets. for example A block has only 16 tickets showing sold out of approximately 250

Either way, we've done our bit:

It still doesn't make much sense; if the south stand is nearly empty that means surely that we haven't sold our own "home" allocation in spite of having sold more season tickets than at KR? Does this then mean that the casual / irregular support has dropped off significantly?
Lets face it, this is the first home game and also one of the big games of the season and whatever way it is described, you would have hoped for a sell out.

I know a lot of my dire mates are not going because they assumed rightly or wrongly that tickets were in short supply as the club had only been given 2500. I supsect if we had given them 4000-5000 they would have sold more than the just under 3000 that they have actually sold, (perhaps not all of them but more than ar present).

So what is the point of having the south stand almost empty?

If you remember, Saints didn't release season tickets for the South Stand except right at the very end of the discount deal when they released just a few in one corner. They are also the most expensive tickets if you pay cash. So it is no surprise really that the South Stand will be empty. Saints will probably need to change their policy a bit in order to fill up the South Stand.

I understand that, but for this game, knowing that those season tickets haven't been sold, they could have allocated an extra 1000-2000 to dire at virtually no risk because they were hardly selling any tickets there anyway.
One of our biggest games of the season and an almost empty stand is a disgrace.

Whoever plans these things for saints (marketing dept?) wants to hang their heads in shame and deserve a good kick up the harris.

Thank god they are not in charge of the team!

It does seem rather foolish to have made no money and have a empty stand, when they could of give us a bigger allocation and then made more money.
