Re: Saints squad...... : Sat Jan 08, 2011 9:18 pm
I never said Eastmond had signed for Sale.

The Shenton, LMS and Perry signings were not public knowledge when I posted.

Feel free to go back through my posts to prove me wrong.

To help you on the Eastmond to Sale one it was late July early August 2009.

Keep me posted. :D
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.
Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.

Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.

Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666

0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".

Therefore ZERO.
Give the girl her dummy back.

Eastmond and Dean were Wigan supporters, ask them.

If your sick and tired then don't read them or comment.

I was correct about, LMS, Meninga, Perry, Simmons and Soliola.
Wigan pulled out of the Shenton auction.

Wigan put an offer to Wheeler (why I don't understand but that's just my opinion) which Saints bettered.

All that is true, if you don't want to believe it then don't.
Or maybe I just guessed right (I'll check my lottery numbers tonight)

Thank god there are some supporters on here with whom a decent RL discussion is possible, and a bit of banter.

BUT we KNOW your opinion - every wigan player is better than a saints player - quite why we bother sometimes is beyond me!

As for not reading your comments - its impossible you post on every thread, and if anyone disagrees with you it's your opinion - well I repeat go and post some opinion on the wigan board. Although I dont suppose eulogising about super sam has the same impact when everyone agrees.

Who gives a rat's backside?

Like you thought I was trolling when I told you that Saints had signed Perry, LMS and Shenton, well before those signings were confirmed.

Who gives a rat's backside?

Oh and when I said that Meninga would not come to Saints, but Simmons would be your new coach.

Who gives a rat's backside?

Or as a few on here will tell you that I informed them that Soliola had signed for Saints well before it was announced.

Who gives a rat's backside?

If that's trolling, then yes I suppose I am.

Yes you are, you sad old man.

Whenever you post anything constructive about RL. I'll take notice.

Some of us don't want you to take notice. Some of us want you to go and post on the Wigan board.

The MAJORITY of my posts are on the Wigan board, thank you.
And I have many good discussions on there. It may surprise you to know that there are some who have different views.

I'm not a sad old man, age is only in the mind and I'm quite happy especially after the 2010 season.

You are correct in that some of you don't want to take notice.
"There are none so blind as those that will not see" comes to mind.

Have a fun season. :D
You've addressed one problem (an ageing squad) which I had warned you about. Luckily they have have been replaced with mediocrity.

I have never had a problem with anyone disagreeing with me, or providing a reasoned argument. Free speech should be encouraged (who gives a rats backside is a failed response)

Haha everybody knew Shenton, LMS and Perry had signed it was already in the press for about 6 months. I also remember you saying Meninga wouldent coach us but nothing about Simmonds.

F**k off back to your own board and watch the mighty S dominate this season.

:D :D

Serious question for you.
Did Nathan Ashe get a first team squad number for this season?
Do you see him as the eventual replacement for Wellens, or would Lomax or even Gaskell be better suited.

From the limited number of times I have seen Ashe play, he looks a good athlete with plenty of pace, but his decision making (when to pass, and when to hold on) has been poor.

I've always liked Gaskell, but am unsure of his best position, as I have seen him play fullback, centre, stand off and scrum half.

Lomax is another talented player, but his injury record would always be a concern.

Or as Blind as those that won't listen!

I often at times like this think back to the Gold Coast in 2008 with JLM23 and a couple of other Saints Supporters.
JLM23 agreed that Saints had some worrying times ahead due to Ageing Squad, loss of Key players, Focus on New Stadium and how that affects player recruitment etc whilst the other 2 (1 inparticular) was Blind to it all and every time the word Wigan came into conversation Frothed at the Mouth and went into a Blind Rant!

I think JLM23 will back up that my Last Comment was actually made and isn't a figment of some Hindsight imagination.

"Give it 18 months 2 years and Wigan will be back at the Top of RL!" JLM23 listened, The others didn't.

PS
He knew about Simmons 3 months before it was officially announced, I've seen the email that told him from Down Under (and subsequent ones!).

You were also there when we were told about Wigans approach for Wheeler, same day as the Maguire announcement as Wigan coach press conference.
