I'm not mentioning these names as my chosen candidate, I'm just trying to think of valid choices.
Fairleigh's been mentioned, hasn't he? I know his coaching has been going OK, but I'm not sure he's at the stage of taking a head coach job yet.

Ricky Stuart was mentioned. He's had a very up and down coaching career, but will a tried and tested NRL coach have plenty in the locker for SL, even if he's not the best in the arena down under? Would he even come, given the salaries you're hearing about in Australia?

Will Mike Rush turn out to be the best candidate!?

I think we have to leave it in the hands of Mr Big. Potter was a reasonable enough choice at the time although the offer of a two year contract to Simmons suggested to me that the club weren't that sure either with him. Now we're in our new stadium we need a serious appointment to push the club on into the stratosphere. Unfortunately I have no idea who that person is but I'd love to be involved with the interviews to see what is asked and said.

The next coach really needs to be signed on a 4yr contract. No more 2yr deals please.

Offside Monkey - Rush has already ruled himself out of the job full-time. There is an article on Sporting Life yesterday with his comments. Reading between the lines I would expect a new coach to be installed full-time sooner rather than later.

Rush was interviewed on Sky for Boots'n'All tonight and said the same thing. He doesn't want the job.
