However, the does seem a shortage of top quality centres and props at the moment but the fact saints have played with one centre since talau went Salford is pretty shocking.

If wheeler stays fit he's nailed on at centre for mine. He can beat several men and knows when to stick and hold.

I know you want 4 props that have propped since starting 1st grade, but we do have five and with Sia in the back row, we have plenty of omph!

Anyone who says TP, LMS, Perry and Clough are all big enough and will match pretty much every team in the front row. Give us 4 or 5 games and the props will be running alot fitter.

I've always said TP is a prop and both perry and LMS are props as you say. Clough is a backrow turned prop.

My only worry about the props named above is, TP is 33 and started picking up knocks, perry is struggling big time and LMS has yet to convince me he's good enough to be a first choice prop for a big club.

Only time will tell.

Fair enough, but I think Perry is only contracted till this year so if he does not work out then I guess we'll be going shopping again as it's doubtful whether forrester will get any game time this year.

I think it didn't help that griffin dropped us in it as he'd done a good Job in the front row for us. He's rough and tough and that's what we need.

If perry goes at the end of the year I'd move for Bryce Gibbs or kite as a direct replacement.

Why not both, surely Perry + what ever we had for Griffin would not cost one of these players, although I must admit I don't know these players at all!

Gibbs and kite are both overseas and we'd only have one spot if perry goes.

Kite was manly prop on Friday. Bryce Gibbs is west tigers prop and Royce made enquiries about him last year.

Well if that's the case and it's welcome news, you have to think that Wheeler will need to be resigned too. We can't keep Meli at centre for ever.
