We have replaced him with Gareth Ellis
We were offering a huge salary to stay, now we can divert the money to other positions which we really need to strengthen seen as though we already have a back row of Tickle, Ellis and Westerman

If he has turned down a massive contract offer at Hull FC then it's possible that money isn't his motive.

Lets hope if Manu signs for us he can throw the ball into the crowd whilst running backwards as that would look bad ass

Would the fact that Hull have increased their offer several times, make him wonder how valued he was in the first place by them? Only after other offers had clearly been made did they offer him what he believed he was worth?

It's called negotiating. I doubt that the deal that his agent appears to have agreed with Saints was the 1st one on the table.

I wasn't comfortable with a 3 year deal, but no doubt you've got a great player who be hard to replace

I'll be over the moon if we have signed him, I've always liked him and like the style of rugby he plays but I'm not sure I'd have took him on a 3yr deal.

I think we know we are in urgent need of someone in the style of Manu and the fact he's off quota has pushed his price up.

Great signing for Saints. He'll be missed at Hull FC, although Gareth Ellis more than makes up for it.
