just read on Total RL some fans on there are saying that St.Helens Town want to share Langtree Park.I know of the so called badness situation between the two clubs but after what Eammon said surley not.We do not want crop circles on our grass.Not being local an all that i have to read in-between the lines.Could be just rumour mongering again thats why the post is on here

its been stated in the local paper that they are having talks , no one is quite sure what the arrangement was at KR but the consenus seems to be that St Helens Town couldnt afford the costs playing at LP , but nothing is known for certain either way

Like Grunt says, they have an arrangement to play there for free, but the costs of playing a game in a stadium that size would not make it possible for them, I'd suggest the bare minimum cost if only 1 stand was opened would be around £2-3K, if 300 people turn up and spend £5 to get in, they're a long way short

is there a known opinion of the ground share from Saints fans after all we have poked fun at the pies sharing for long enough . As i said Eammon M said total RL,now he seems to be changing his mind.Mind you the money would not be sneezed at would it.Might get the cladding finnished Can't help feeling a bit annoyed at Town tho.

Personally I don't want to see Town anywhere near Langtree Park but there is a big difference between Saints and Wigan on this one. At Wigan it is Latics running the show. At Saints it is Saints.

We may be legally obliged to facilitate Town because of the agreement made under Sporting Club St Helens, I don't know because I don't know what the actual agreement was. But it may be that our obligation ended with Knowsley Road and/or that a different venue could be offered to Town as it is just impractical for them to play at Langtree Park.

There is a Big Difference between Town and a premiership club? in Latics.

If Town did pay over proceeds of the sale of Houghton Road I would think any agreement would have looked at a longer term use than just Knowsley Road. Wonder what would be the attitude if say Everton were willing to pay £10K per match for the reserves, I bet it would be gladly take the money then.
