The fact it's Wigan might muddy the waters somewhat, although the club seems to be getting better now Leneghan is there. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he just left as Moore did, with no public acknowledgement from the club.
The difference I see is that Moore has had years, and many second chances, to prove he's more than just an alecan. Sooner or later, the negatives outweigh the hope that he can turn the corner.
Wheeler is still young, and with him it isn't a lifestyle choice, it's physicality.
Plus, he has the potential to be a far, far greater player than Moore ever could have.
