We could do with another. Is this Paddy O'Reilly turns out to be good he could be a Maurie-esque addition. I just hope he doesn't need two years to get up to speed.

Any of O'Hara, Bryant, Flower, Griffin, Davies, Chan and McPherson would have improved our squad for next season. Makes me think we're not trying to.

He's big and will probably get bigger with Saints weights. He'll have the whole off season to get into shape, assuming we don't injure him.
I reckon it will be clear after a couple of months at Swinton whether he'll come good or not.

Are they actually going into the academy? From reading the piece about them, I thought the 'academy' bit related to the talent academy which was held in Munster earlier in the season and from which Saints chose these two guys. Perhaps I'm reading it wrong but I got the impression from the article that these blokes have signed for us and will be sent to France and then Swinton to get game time.

At 6ft 7ins and 19 stone, that prop is massive. I hope he's a fast learner!

I'm not sure I was responding to Saddenned questionning if they where academy or first team, given their ages they are going to be limited in those opportunities.

I'd say you are likely right France for this season, pre-season with us in December/January and then take it from there with loans or if they really kick on first team.

They've had games in the U20s, presumaebly as a trial - obviously showing some promise.
