I do hope we've got someone lined up and haven't missed out on Flower, Hill, Chan and Bryant because they didn't want to move to us.

Begs the question as to why Crusaders are so poor most weeks when a lot of their players are so highly sort after.

Meanwhile Hull KR reckon they've signed O'Hara and Salford are signing Shannan McPherson. So all the Crusaders players worth looking at will have been snaffled and we won't have benefitted at all.

Makes me wonder if it's Leon's negotiations that are holding everything up. We've waited till he's proven his ability to get fit again before sitting down with him, which may have let several props that would have improved our squad for next season slip through our fingers.

All speculation of course, we might not have been interested in any of them. I'd pay a years salary to be a fly on the wall in Eammon's office and I'd give my house up for access to the salary spreadsheet, I really would.

Makes me wonder whether these two Irish lads are being thought of as more than just academy projects? We're very light in squad depth and a bank of about 10 antipodean's becomes available and we don't sign any of them?

The prop is 23 and the centre/stand off is 21 so they can't spend too long in the academy, but I'm not sure we'll see them feature too much in 2012 unless we have another crisis

Realistically though, O'Hara could potentially find himself behind Laff', Perry, LMS, TP and Clough for a prop shirt. Perhaps he wanted to be a big dog in a smaller yard?

We should be looking for the next Bryn to back up the above. Someone young who wants to prove himself. Did you mention Ben Davis had found a new club for next season?
