Scary thing is we could be faced with either Wigan, Warrington or Hudds at home first round.

Hopefully not, maybe Giants having to back up could give us a slight advantage. That said we need to improve massively on what was served up on Thursday. Make no mistake, we ARE capable of winning or at least drawing on Friday. We've beaten them twice this year already remember. The players need to show belief and the fans need to back them to the hilt. It's still in our hands.

I don't know why its all doom and gloom on here. Yes you had a bit of a shocker on Friday but you showed against Leeds that you can still compete, even with the players missing.

I think ultimately the lack of creativity will make it very hard for you to win enough games back to back to win at Old Trafford but I have a feeling you'll sneak it on Friday.

this, without the sneaking a win on friday. Theres a harder game for Cas at Catalan than for us against Hudds too

I don't care about the playoffs. Second in the playoffs is as good as first week out in the playoffs.
I did not give us a sniff of the GF win.

I just want top as the silverwear will be a platform to build on and it gives us the added incentive of the WCC next year, guaranteed. That's money, exposure, interest. That is something we don't want to miss out on.

If we come second. That means we have to hope to hell Cas make the GF, or we are out of that next year.

Sorry if I'm being a bit dim, but I have not seen anything which sets out how the third team's criteria is decided?
All I've seen is :

Super League will be represented by the 2014 Grand Finalists plus the third highest ranked team from the northern hemisphere competition.

I took this to mean the losing team in the last qualifying semi final? Perhaps not, but we shouldn't be counting our chickens even if we win the hub cap.

Theres 2 losing teams though. Does it go on who finished higher in the table out of the 2 semi losers?

It's been confirmed on the RFL twitter feed it's the highest placed team in the league table who doesn't make the GF.
