If Simmons has just bigged up the kids, then it's got to be one of Soliola, Wilkin or Moore who is leaving. I imagine Soliola and Wilkin will be on a better wage than Moore, so - I'm gonna put 2 and 2 together - and I am gonna say Moore must be going. Could be wrong though.

I've got a feeling the will be one or two players coming in and possibly one is from crusaders


I'm not 100% sure from what I'm told, Leon will not be a saint next year and will prob be playing in another country. Talks are still on going but it looks like Leon will be eating frogs legs for few yeas.

Looks like 13 of the Crusaders players have been given dispensation by the RFL to help them find new clubs. So we could possibly have another Aus. on board next year.

A ridiculous situation (I'm not just talking about the possibility of Saints signing one of the players.)

A team could probably (cap permitting) sign up about seven quota players from Crusaders and not have them count. How does that help the younger players who are coming through a teams academies.

The Crusaders players should only have special dispensation for one or two seasons in my opinion. We should all know by now how hard life can be when rugby league as your trade is suddenly taken away from you so I think it's a good idea from the RFL and much better than simply wishing them all the best then casting them adrift. Many of these lads have young families and have just been told that as of Spetember/October they're out of work. I'd guess that most of the younger academy players you talk about will still be free of the responsibilities of a mortgage, loans, children etc.

The problem with that is that a number of them have only just signed new contracts so that wouldn't really be fair would it, if they had expected to be in Wrexham for two years from 2012 only to find they were redundant.

Given that the football players have gone on strike due to them not being paid, I'd be surprised if the Crusaders guys actually had wages for the rest of this season, never mind next!
