Darryl Griffin on a 2 year deal is the latest one I've been told. Good to see that it has come from other sources too.

If we resign Flannery as we might as well do (As we can't sign any other NRL players anyway) it still leaves us light yet again. As more and more out of contract players are tied up to new deals or secure deals with new clubs it's getting hard to see where any further signings are going to come from, particularly as we're up to the quota. I assume we'll sign Ade up again.

Flannery might not want to stay. I think he only signed a one year deal last time, didn't he? If Flannery goes we can sign another antipodean can't we? If we do then we should sign a prop type player from the S Pacific Islands. (I think they're all prop types in the S Pacific Islands - do they make men small out there?) Anyway, they seem to settle in better in St Helens. There is a little S Pacific Islander community here. Three Australians in a team is plenty. Too many actually. We need some more S Pacific Islanders.

No. We're maxed out on non-fed players. Flannery doesn't count as non-fed as he's been around since '07. For that reason we could keep him, but at the same time letting him go wouldn't make any difference to our non-fed situation.

Frodsham's promise seems to have evaporated, with him hardly featuring for Widnes.
I think we'll keep one of either Armstrong OR Gardner. I think Royce likes Ade, but he's no spring chicken and has had this awful injury from which he may not recover & Armstrong's shown a fair bit of potential in the centres for Leigh.
IMO, Pryce was gone from the moment we signed Hohaia.
Flanders I'm 50/50 on. He's no world beater, but you can see how much extra weight he has going forward compared to the 3 young backrows we have.
If we signed griffin or hill for next season, then we'd potentially have a line up of
1. Wello/Lance
2. Foster 3. Meli 4. Shenton 5. Gardner
6. Gaskell 7. Lomax
8. Perry 9. Robes 10. Puletua
11.Soliola 12. Wilkin 13. Laffranchi

14. Hill/Griffin 15. LMS 16. Clough 17. Wheeler

Which is stong. Depth will be our only problem. Maybe its worth keeping Flanders around for that reason?
