I can understand the club not publishing anything on numbers. Lets say the 4-5k are all that has been sold. This would not create much of a buzz.
Also if Large numbers have been sold closer to 8k, thats hardly enough to say you are going to miss out There are 14k home tickets.
I'd imagine if the terracing was close to 75% sold out, then the club would then put up the warning signs that if you want to get the cheapest spot then the likely hood is you can't walk up on the day.
But until that point it's more a question of do you push now, or wait for christmas when people are more likely to splash the cash on themselves and others.
It would be tricky for most people to ask for a season ticket for Christmas but if teenagers got £50 - £100 of various auntes and uncles they maybe more likely to consider it.
I'm going to be a walk up as ever game for me is an away game. But were I go will be a bit of an unknown as the rest of my family will be in the allocated section. So it might be unallocated seating as close to their section as I can sit.
Either that or find a noisy section and go there.
