I should have said no further costs, lighting, gatemen (women), stewarding, pitch maintenance etc.

Wigan pay 10% of their gate receipts to Whelco who own the Stadium. Contrary to common belief the money does not go to Wigan Athletic.

Fair enough. But you haven't mentioned the lack of any income stream from the "palace".

I know we'll get nothing from Halton this season either but things will change next year.

Wigan still get the corporate from match day, but do miss out on things like food and drink, but many clubs lease those out to franchises anyway.

Any way you and the Wigan fans try and dress it, you don't have your own stadium and rent it.

It's got to be to the benefit of the rugby club to own their own stadium. The rugby club can use the stadium in other events with produce cash that goes to saints RL.

We won't have to mix our fixtures about to fit in with the number one sport in Wigan which is football.

At the end of the day, you rent your ground off a football club, not ideal to be honest.

let's not try and make this into another Wigan / Saints argument, I'm sure there will be many of of those to come this season.

PERSONALLY, I'm quote happy with the deal we have at Wigan as is Ian Lenagan.
