Not that I don't believe you or anything, but what capacity was this person that told you this in? Relative, fan in pub? Randomer? Club official? Former player?

Current player.

Flannery ain't been told if saints want him to stay or go. The club haven't mentioned anything to him at all.

That's fine... The mind boggles as to who this could be. We'll assume the lad from Leigh for the forward.

As for the back I thought it could maybe have been Nixon from Barrow. I remember we were trying to sign him before he snapped his arm in half live on Sky, but looking at Google now it seems he has broken his leg recently.

No, what he means is that not telling him anything is a sign that they don't want him or are at least looking around other options. I.e they are not desperate to offer him a new deal.

He said he wanted to stay with Saints in an interview with the local rag at the beginning of the season.

If Saints are quiet, it usually means it isn't good news for the player concerned! I remember Sean Long complaining about that.

Unless we are looking at other options before we offer him a deal.

The was a name of player brought up but not sure if he's off contract or not. Has anyone got a link to the OOC players list?
