I haven't seen enough of Davies to comment, but he doesn't seem to be worrying the first teamers in the way Savelio or Greenwood have done.
Charnock I really like as a player so happy with him getting a new deal. He'll be vital for us over the next couple of seasons if Roby starts to break down, which presumably he has to at some point.
Fleming is a really strange one for me. We're already more than covered in the outside backs by totally average players in Dawson and Peyroux, so not sure what Fleming offers? He's really slow, really clumsy and I just don't see where he could ever get into a Super League side position wise. Too slow to be a winger and not big enough to be a Carney-esque crash ball winger, not incisive or direct enough to play at centre, and weak defensively. I'd have had him down as being released and getting a gig in League 1 potentially if I had to call based on his first team appearances to date.
His deal is a further reminder of McManus's total comfort with 'okay' as the benchmark.
Having said that I might be wrong, he might have potential and I'm just not seeing it. That can happen with players, I'll admit I didn't rate Greenwood much when he first came through and his development proved me wrong.

I feel like that might be a bit harsh on Fleming. We've only seen him play 7 games, and 6 foot and 93kg at 19 years old means he has fair potential to be a Carney-esque winger, even now Carney only has half a stone on him. It does make the Dawson contract very strange though, unless the club see Fleming's future at centre. I don't think you can call his deal that at 19. Maybe 2 years down the line but physically he has potential and the coaching staff have obviously seen dramatically more than us. I'd say a 1 year deal indicates potential without him currently looking like a superstar.
I've seen nothing of Davies, but again he's only 19, and he played for England u19s this year so he's clearly highly thought of at that age generally, not just at Saints. With regards to comparisons with Greenwood, Davies turns 20 in November while Greenwood turned 22 in March. That's a decent amount more development Greenwood has, and Greenwood has only really solidified himself as a first team player this year.
