I really like Swift. Belting player, fast, safe under the high ball, just needs some chances to put away.

The difference being im saying bring in a player in the centre the quality of SKD and he wants to replace swift with a 18yr old kid HES never seen

Far be it for me to blow someone else's trumpet but - at least his option is realistic, not to mention financially viable for the club and the sport in general.

For someone who never ceases tooting his Rugby League bona fides - you're really going out on a limb with this one.

I mean, precisely what was it about NRL man-mountain blockbuster, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, that made you think he might be a better solution at centre than Jordan Turner?

I agree. Much in the same way that I'd agree Greg Inglis would be a better option than Tommy Makinson. But the chances of acquiring either are slim to say the least. In any case, the club (not to mention the game) cannot sustain wage inflation in the context of the salaries NRL players are currently paid.

It's no co-incidence that since clubs have been forced to tighten their belts we're currently producing good quality youngsters at a far higher rate than at any point over the last forty years.
