Give Wilkin a forward pack that doesn't require his services as a yardage maker and he's outstanding.

Ever since the arrival of Amor, Walmsley and Masoe the pressure has really been taken off him. It's noticeable that his kicking game has improved out of sight. And he's invariably there to steady the ship in those critical twenty minutes after half time.

The last time he was this influential was under Anderson when, co-incidentally, we had a similarly big pack.

Are you for real? He 100% completely deserves his place in the side from what we've seen so far. You can't underestimate the importance of an experienced, proven winner in games like this.

48 hours from the biggest game in years and people like you are sniping at the captain for no apparent reason. Get a grip man.

Both of you are right. Wilkin can't be dropped and roader needs to get a grip.

Wilkin deserves his spot at the moment. When Walsh comes back and whether greenwood is kept is the time to air that argument.

Leaving out hohaia is a mistake. Interchange hooker , flexibility in the halves and backs and a bit of dog in defence.

The rest of the squad is spot on.

Roby is more than capable of doing the full 80 minutes for you. When I watch him he actually seems to get better the longer he is on the pitch. He will cause Souths loads of problems on Sunday.

Looks like very heavy rain for your game on Sunday.

Who do think it'll favour?

Nightmare for the wingers and fullbacks from high kicks?

Would that be a reason for having Wellens in the squad i.e experience?

He's been in the squad for the 2 league games.

I can see St Helens winning this game. South Sydney struggled in the Charity Shield and were only saved by two late tries to draw level with the Dragons. St Helens have more game time under their belt and coming off a huge win. They deserve favouritism

Souths have a very big pack but if our pack can get the better of them we in with a big chance. It will be interesting how they go without big Sam Burgess who was their big game player and leader.

It's a shame walsh wasn't fit to play as Id really really fancy our chances.

I realise that.

Sorry, what I meant was would he be included in the 17 for his experience, especially taking into account the weather forecast?

I wouldn't play him. What's the point even if it's raining ? He's not taking lomax position and he can't basically play anywhere else. He's now a squad player and the is a number of players in front of them.

No player has played poor enough to be left out either.

I'd go with same 17 as salford but with Walmsley starting and Mose on the bench.

I'd start Mose. He has known beef with George B, and letting them front up can go a long way for us matching them in the opening exchanges which will be important. I'd start with LMS at lock for the same reason...

I don't like mose starting. We have to make a sub after 8 mins which is a waste. Leave him on the bench and let Amor and big Alex soften them up for mose and sav.
