Walmsley was charged with a Grade B for punching last week. I obviously havent seen the Gelling incident yesterday, but surely a punch, regardless of whether it connects or not, is an intentional action committed and therefore should carry the same grade across the board? Or do the RFL reward players with lesser suspensions if they can't throw a decent punch these days?
Still baffles me that Peacock escaped a ban a couple of weeks ago as he was provoked, yet Walmsley cops a ban after being hit from behind by Pelissier when he was in the defensive line about 15 yards away from where the ball was...must be pot luck as to which panel are sitting as to whether something is acceptable or not.
Would like to bet that neither Farrell or Gelling receive any form of suspension for Friday though
