I agree to a certain extent. I do think he should be spelled at the moment. Wheeler at 6 with Lance as an interchange 9 would be far better than what we are serving up at present. It would mean Brown having the balls to drop Wellens from his normal bench spot though and I'm not sure that will happen.

I do think Roby would be far more effective in attack, even if he played for the full 80, if only his forwards did their job. If the rest of the pack did their job right then Roby would be playing on the front foot with quick play the balls and a retreating defence.

For me its now inherent in the culture of the club. Our current (genuine) stars tend to be the more passive characters and unfortunately, our more modest shirt fillers don't have the grit in their personality to make up for it.

A good post, but I don't agree with his analysis regarding Roby and Wheeler though.

It's the obvious choice given the players at our disposal, especially now Lomax looks to be out so Wellens can play FB rather than taking up a bench spot.

I agree with his assessment on Wheeler, he is nowhere near good enough. What has he done in his Saints career?

He was a passenger on Saturday and should be nothing more than a squad player this year and be released at the end of the year.

Hohaia has done pretty well at 6 this year, he's certainly tried hard to impose himself on games and has committed himself defensively.

Is anyone as surprised as me at the lack of media exposure from the club since the humiliation in France? Other than the ususal inane and vague excuses from Nathan Brown, there has been nothing has there? No response from the Chairman? No response from the players?

I would have thought a public apology would have been worthwhile to the fans who spent many hundreds if not thousands travelling over there to watch a pile of drivel?

it stands out like a sore thumb when amors not playing...and lets be honest here masoe went down like a sack of spuds when he came up against a good set of forwards like the dragons have.....no offloads..no quick play the balls..in fact no nothing....not be long before we are mid-table and mike rush is asked to do a favour.

Nathan Brown's laid back demaenure is as baffling as it is frustrating.

This is the guy who, during his first coaching job at St George, was caught on TV giving Trent Barrett a slap on the side-lines as his frustration boiled over.
