In the post, to me it looks very much like it was at the ref, he's looking at the ref when the ref blows the whistle, he does a wellens strop at the ref and then waits for Ablett to say his piece and chips his little bit on top

Actually, it isn't. It is the abnormal current process of the British legal system. Meanwhile, a Grade E does not bring with it an EGP so he could be open to the full 8 match ban if the disciplinary committee believed the offence warranted it. Personally, I don't believe he'll get the full whack but I think he should in order to send out a strong message to players that this kind of verbal abuse will not be tolerated.

I hope so. The false apology, written for him by the club, and the claim that the comments were aimed at Monaghan hopefully won't stop the RFL doing the right thing.

doesnt matter who t was aimed at. ANYONE who is employed would be sacked for gross misconduct for using that term in work time, as Hardacre was

I am in the minority here, but I think 8 games would be incredibly harsh. I agree that charging him is appropriate to send out the message, but Ferres nearly broke Lomax's neck and only got 5 games?

It was a poor choice of insult, certainly, but it was said in the heat of the moment. Hardaker has also come out and apologised. The word he used does have certain connotations (of course), but I find it hard to believe he was being homophobic by using the term - in the sense that he was directly attacking someone's sexuality.

I'm not saying that it was right, either.

I dont think it is harsh. He's very lucky to still have a job. Very surprised Leeds havnt suspended hm themselves, is that the image of a family club they want to promote?

Leeds have probably been waiting for the result of the RFL investigation before acting. I'd be surprised if he isn't fined.
