I think we should stop embarrassing ourselves. This squad is nowhere near 'the best squad in the league'.
We are carrying average players. LMS, Turner, Dawson, walker, Masoe, Wilkin, Wellens, Hohaia. All not good enough and aren't fit to wear the redvee.
This is as bad as it gets. Every big game (apart from Leeds where the youngsters were superb) has been a total shambles and an embarrassment.
Could you imagine Wigan turning up in a big game and performing as woeful as we did today?
Warrington didn't have to do ANYTHING. They are almost as clueless as us. If they were struggling for field position, we'd give them a nice penalty to take them up to our line. Oh and if we have the ball we'll balls it up and just give it to them from an awful offload. Oh and if they move the ball through at least two pairs of hands our wingers will just let them stroll past them.
I'm done. Brown out. If LMS, Turner or Walker get in any match day squad i will not be attending from now on in. 20 years i've had my season ticket and i dont mind losing but i can't stand losing because of a lack of attitude. Put a fork in me.
The squad clearly isn't the best in the league. The pack is awful without Amor for example. However, the quality of the players is irrelevant. What Brown should be judged on is the commitment, the enthusiasm levels, the aggression, the numbers in the tackle, the attacking movements and the defensive structures. The side starts EVERY big game like it's in shock, the kind of reaction people have at the start of zombie movies as they stumble screaming into the mouth of a zombie. There are no defensive structures, it's just shambolic. They picked up at full time on the try scored at the start of the second half. A man down, Warrington broke down our right with a simple pass and a complete misnumbering of the defensive line. In attack rather than the 'oh god what do we do?' reaction of last season and the four or five before that, it's now 'oh god Luke, what do we do?'.

I'm in pure meltdown atm.
I reckon if you transferred those players you mentioned above to Wigan then in the space of an off season you'd see a dramatic improvement in all of them. This boils down to coaching pure and simple.
We've had players from Crusaders (Dudson & Flower) and London (Sarginson & Clubb) and now you'd never have guessed it. Throw in all the young kids who drink in everything SW expects, all would run their blood to water for him, its that plain to see.
I honestly don't see Brown being the man to take you forward. The dilema you have is whether to choose NRL or homegrown!

I personally agree with you 100%.
Wane has taken players - like Dudson, Flower, Sarginson, Clubb, who were *alright* players at their previous clubs, but certainly nothing special - and turned them in part of a team that is far superior to the sum of its parts.

Lets just say i'd put good money on a fully fit 2014 Shaun Wane led Wigan team beating a fully fit 2010 Maguire led Wigan Team, despite the 2010 Team having a lot more individuals technically superior to those playing now.
