Not fit enough, I don't think we'll see the real Mose for a few weeks, but by no means a disaster!

All my worst fears about his weaknesses were on display tonight.

Hull KR scored all their points when he was on the pitch.

They made huge yardage, in the same way teams used to do against Feka. Simply run at the lad, he is then slow getting in position, this causes team mates to have to adjust their position, which leaves gaps across the park.

On numerous occasions he was puffing his way back into the line with his back turned to the defence, Hull KR then scooted off into the holes he was leaving.
.
Going forward he was somewhat lumbering as well, reminding me of Stuart Evans waddling his way into the opposition players. He is hard to put down but just looked too damn big and slow.

I really think over the next few weeks we really need to be pushing him hard in training to get his fitness up.

I hadn't actually come on when they scored their first try. He came on for the re-start after that try.

However, he was involved in both their other scores.

One thing tonight showed is that we cannot possibly play Paul Wellens and Mose Masoe in the same 17.

Ignoring the fact that Wello is terrible and stealing a living for a second, we simply cannot have two players not contributing in the 17. Mose should be playing most weeks to build up his fitness, but we cannot afford to have Wello doing his sentimental stint as well. The other 15 tonight did the work of 17 men and it will cost us when we have a close game or two.

What must laffranchi be thinking tonight ? He's played in all 3 games before tonight and we've won all 3 yet dropped tonight and wello is sat on the bench for 65 mins again.

We even used sia as a prop tonight while laffranchi sat in the stands and wello sat on the bench. Surely playing laffranchi on the bench then allows Sia to play his usual Backrow position.

I'll agree with you on Masoe and your (or I think it was your) suggestion about loaning him out for a month is actually a good one as 20 minutes off the bench each week is gonna do nothing for him and certainly nothing for us.

Wellens did absolutely nothing wrong at all tonight as he hasn't all season so far - Wellophobia is just in full swing. If the likes of LMS and Wheeler could make their games only half as error free as Wello's we'd be a much better side. For the record I think Lance did ok again too.

He can't be loaned out for visa reasons.

Was a strange one ... But maybe people will appreciate laffranchis contribution a bit more now ;)

That or were gonna see a bit of rotation in the next few games! Btw, to those saying, I'd imagine masoe can't go out on loan/ dual reg due to visa stuff. Give him a few games against cats and Wakefield. I imagine (hope) well see the grand opening against Leeds on sky ;)

I don't believe we could loan him out as work permits are usually for 1 club a la Gelling at Wigan.

I wouldn't do that though as he needs to play games with us. Get him fit and I think we have a wrecking machine on our hands.

On Laffranchi, I think we will see most of our forwards missing the odd game here and there as we keep fresh throughout the year.

1 missed game gives around 2 weeks off so will be beneficial for our workhorses at the business end.

What a ridiculous post. He has played 25 mins of competitive rugby since November. At least give him 4 games to get fitness.

I didn't like us flogging Sia down the middle tonight using him as a prop. He's been our best player for past two seasons being used out wide.

Just seems silly playing him prop while we got props sat in the stands.
