I doubt Walmsley will ever be comparable to Jamie Peacock. He's a head and shoulders above those listed in terms of his influence on a game. Those pretending Wello is doing a job for us should look at Peacock as an example of a Captain.

But Walmsley can be a superb prop for us, I think he is now. As mentioned he needs to focus as much on being error free at the play the ball as he does on being captain smash.

Must you use every single thread as a tool to slate Wellens it really is very sad and very boring.

As for Walmsley - great to have him starting now , several times last year we went 16pts down early on with LaFranchi being dominated. Would just like him to get nearer to the 20 min mark instead of 10 , then bring on Sia and Masoe to wreak havoc !

He did alot of minutes against Wire, possibly around 60

That's right , just don't get why we've took him off after 10. May have more to do with LMS starting at 13 .
Would be nice to get 20 and bring on Sia and 25 from Amor and bring on Mose.
As I say , a lot will depend on how many LMS can do starting at 13 then moving to prop. Just felt we had weak periods against Hull where we looked lightweight

To be fair to brown, he did look tired after 10 mins. I was watching him and he was blowing. I remember thinking to myself he was fit as a fiddle last week.

He's already a very good player that is slightly rough in a few places, 2 places in particular:

1). His handling - or more specifically the way he plays the ball.

2). His fitness - If we could get him playing 2 larger spells at the intensity he is playing now then we have a world class player on our hands.

There's not too many forwards that bust tackles on a regular basis like he does these days. Whoever scouted this boy and alerted McManus to him deserves a medal.

Think Mike Rush found him or was told of him. I was told Rush went to watch and talk to him a long time before we was rumoured to be after him.

I think he did too many at Wire, probably knackered him for Hull.
I think he's capable of 2 x 20 minute spells regularly, hes a bit big for much more than that

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

Walmsley looked as though he picked up a groin strain in the second half, he still needs to be handled the right way and not do too many minutes. Although he is a tough strong lad he needs time to get battle hardened with the impact of Superleague.
I reckon 2 years progression and he will at his best and be the top prop in Superleague. The only problem with this acolade is that quite a few NRL clubs will be knocking on his door with lots of aussie dollar.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Best prop this year, I'm not sure.
Jamie Peacock on Friday, 136 metres and 54 tackles. Thats unreal for a prop.

Jamie Peacock is a freak. He's a legend and still the best prop in super league.
