Briers heckling Tomkins while he was trying to moan at the ref was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.
I think it adds. It certainly doesn't take away.

Can/do we use the ref cam angle in video ref decisions? I know that seems like a bit of a nonsense....

They do indeed, sometimes provides a brilliant angle. Sort of makes me think how on earth didn't the ref see it in the first place most the time!

I'm a big fan of ref cam, it provides a unique angle that you could never get otherwise and gets you closer to the game. I also think seeing the player/ref interactions is a big positive.

I hate the head cam. The movements when the ref has darting glances in different directions are way too amplified to make enjoyable viewing. I remember watching an Onion game where the ref wore a vest with the camera attached. The viewer saw everything that the ref's chest saw which was much easier to view and gave a far better sense of being on the front line.
