He didn't with GOB , he's a good player, just not in the position we need him for, like signing thurston as a prop!

GOB is a third choice halfback at Wire with hardly any first team experience and largely unknown ability. How you can compare him with Luke Walsh is beyond me!

Perry showed some good form in the middle of last season and has simply had his spell with us mostly ruined by fitness/injury otherwise. Hohaia has been mostly fit as a fiddle and been completely terrible regardless. Perry was a great signing when we made him but just hasn't worked out. Hohaia's signing was a head-scratcher right from the very start. It's a no-brainer who the worst signing has been...

I never said he was as good as Luke Walsh .
Are you saying lance needs an absolute top class 7 before he shows some skills at 6? A good 6 doesn't, rangi chase certainly didn't have a top 7 next to him at cas

Lance needs a top class 7 next to him so he can ride on his coat tails and manage to not look utterly terrible.

All were certainly over 10 years ago except I think Michael Smith who was around 2003ish and just about qualifies for consideration... Michael O'Connor was 25 years ago, but never mind (start adding in the likes of Andy Dannatt and Chris Smith if you're going back that far). Smith never came with even remotely the amount of reputation and expectation (and probably wages) that Hohaia and Perry did however. The 2 of them are most certainly the only genuine contenders for Saints flop of the decade.

We had a few about 10 years ago. Michael Smith was a clanger a lesson to learn for people who see a player doing well at a poor club and think he is all that.

Matt Adamson's brother was more than 10 years ago but is worth a call.

The worst one has to be Chris Flannery, mainly because we didn't learn our lesson and carried on giving him new deals!!!

Damien Smith was a talented player but seemed to lack motivation. Trindall was a crazy signing but far from our worst.
