For me, if we are to keep Hohaia from Stand off, the only solution I can see is Wellens at Full Back and Lomax at 6.

So I'd line up as follows:

I'm not overly concerned about being without Sia this weekend, but 10 weeks. Damn that's a long time to be without a quality player.

It will probably make Manu less effective too as it's going to be more predictable where our strike will come from on the pitch.

10 weeks takes him to about the 29th of August. With the Challenge cup that will lessen the impact somewhat. But he is almost certain to miss the Wigan and Catalan games. He may get back just in time for the game against Warrington.

From the above squad for this week I'd pick...

Wellens at fullback makes me sad. Did we not learn anything? If we're going to move J-Lo to the halves (Where he really struggled this season) then we can't compound that by having Wello at fullback. Better to have Makinson at 1 and play Smeli and Gardner.

I'd go Swift #1 for the same reason.
Makinson was okay when he filled in, but I think he's a bit too straight line. He doesn't seem to have the nack of fixing a man and timing the pass. When he moved back to the wing for the Leeds game, he looked very comfortable.
This would also allow us not to play Gardner, who makes me sad.

Swift has shown he's pretty good with kicks and I think his added foot work would see him be a better choice in the full back role than makinson.

Either that, or play Lomax #1, where he's sensational, and either pick Swift, Charnock or Hohaia at #6.

Gardner and Wello are dead weight, for me.

Wheeler should be back soon, so it will be interesting to see what happens with the team when he does come back.

From the full squad it's the best combination but one is on a time share with Warrington and another is on a time share with bupa.
