I don't mind us playing bad at the moment or that Brown is constantly changing positions around at least he is willing to give it a go. With another coach we could still be stuck with Lomax at 7. Huddersfield fans, no disrespect but your starting to bore us now no one wants to hear how unhappy you were with team selection as Brown raised you from relegation fighters to one of the top teams in the comp or had that passed you by? Who cares if we're not blowing teams away at the moment if Leeds have taught us anything it's that you only have to make top 5 to be champions. A quick start has traditionally got you knocked out of the play offs.

You are missing the fact that he spent full salary cap for 3 seasons, brought players in he wanted including World Cup winners, State of origin and Aussie internationals and he still won nothing, zilch, zero

His record both in Oz and here is not very good to be fair and he is rumoured to have lost the dressing room both at St George and the Giants.

We are not saying owt about the Giants doing well as we been there before, we are just commenting that I think you have gone backwards so far and don't be suprised if it gets a lot worse.

Wonder what majority of Saints fans feel about Brown so far?

You may have spent the full salary cap but be realistic you didn't have the pulling power at the time to sign any top players if another club was in aswell so money had to do the talking for you hence not signing top class players in every position quite a few of your players were average to compensate big signings. Brown did an amazing job at your place and needs time with us too. Saints fans are possibly the best at over reacting so trying to get there backing about Brown doesn't help at all! I don't see how we have gone backwards? Started the season pretty much the same as last year limping through opening rounds while you lot went about destroying teams but your wheels fell off again nothing is won in March. His time for experimenting is now and if we are still this bad when all our players return and he has his best 17 in mind then I will be worried.

He's the same as Brian macdermott at Leeds, who has shifted sinfield, burrows and bailey into different positions. Worked ok for him. Also same as millward who expected players to play in any position, he did ok. I would prefer a coach who is prepared to try things in search of his best starting line up, than plod along week in, week out, with players who are clearly not suited to their place. Lomax and wilkin are a start, if he can wring a couple more seasons out of wellens by playing him in a better suited position.

I thought I was on the Hudds board for a minute when I opened this thread.

Ridiculous, his selections this season have been excellent: he's had the bottle (and understanding of the game) to shift Lomax away from 7 where Rush failed to do so; he is giving Wilkin an extended run when he is our best option in that position - also see above re: Lomax; he is giving the youngsters a chance and his use of Flanagan has lead to his best few performances in a Saints shirt (what was up with him on Friday btw?)

The only comment on selection that I would make is that I didn't like the fact he put Jones on the bench on Fri and I think that has been his ONLY selection mistake so far.

I like Brown and I'm confident that he is the right coach to push us on.
