I remember when he first broke through after his knee ops and having both knees heavily strapped, I thought had done incredibly well to get over it considering it happened so early in his career. What a shame.

Good luck to him on a different career path.

Always sad to see a young player forced into retirement because of injury, no matter who they play for.

Wouldn't recommend a boxing career for him though

Sad too see any player retire through injury, particularly at such a young age. I wonder if Greenwood will be given a chance, he has impressed me when I have seen him at U20 level.

He's had 2 or 3 appearences so far. I think you'll see a bit more from him this year.

Shame , when I saw him play at 13 in the junior setup pre injury (one of them at least) he looked top class , a real ball handling 13 with a strong running game . All the best to him in whatever he does next

I don't think so. His last moment in the professional game was smacking a Wiganer, good way to go.

On a serious note it's never nice when a player has to retire early, especially when they're so young so I wish him all the best.

I liked him as a player and thought he'd do well. He was a far better player than most on here make out.
