Don,t club coaches send in there assessment to Cummings after each game, I should imagine all clubs would reflect the demise of the refereeing standard.
As far as I am aware there,s still no transparency between club and officials, hence more and more coaches on the "blame the ref bandwagon".
Looks as though Cummings has less quality to work with year on year, it's no good dropping a ref because he,s had a bad game because the replacement is of lower standard. Dropping a ref to touch judge duties will not inspire confidence after a few ga mes.
For me you need to throw money at it to make it an ambitious occupation, also the game needs to have a rules reduction , there are too many grey areas in the game which players and coaches have reason to complain about.
We are getting more and more games now, where the officials are having a
direct influence on the games outcome.
Perhaps it's time to bring in the coach,s call, 4 calls per game for basic incidents such as knock on,s foul play, offsides. But then we would need the video ref each game and games lasting 90 mins for incident calls.
