Wasn't it Jack Cooper we were in discussions with? The younger brother of Mike Cooper? I notice he wasn't one of the 10 Warrington players to sign new contracts today.

Makes sense really. Gaskell's deficiencies are in his running game, this role makes him develop those deficiencies.

I would have said his running game was one of his main strengths to be honest. It seemed to be his pass choice and execution that caused more problems.

I didn't think there was much wrong with his pass execution, his pass choice I just put down to inexperience
