On behalf of the fools on this board who were blaming McManus for pretty much everything last week, from Foster's inability to catch a ball to the nuclear crisis in Iran, I would like to apologise.
Humour, LOL!
I can't imagine they would have the balls or gumption to do it themselves,
My guess is that's a fault of limited imagination.
but yet again, his decisons have been shown to be spot on.
One match. Is that all it takes to convince you -
one match? I bet you are putty in the hands of any street magician.
As Clarkey said on the commentary last night, the vast majority of his decisions have e=been proved to be right, and that is why we have been so successful for so many years.
So Phil Clarke has now assumed the role of Unimpeachable Voice of Authority Whose Word is Absolute Truth? And he has arrived at this conclusion - how? By process of reason or by public decree?
As far as the clubs most influential people are ranked, I would say forget about Alex Murphy, Tom VV, KC, look no further than McManus, as far as I am concerned, he has been the most influential person for St Helens RL, probably in the club's history. The players from his woeful recruitment policy, the kids from his poor youth set up, and coaches from the stagnant club proved last night that he is doing a great job, and that they are capable of competing with anyone in SL. No doubt when we lose again, some so called fans will start to call him again, but for a brief sunny Monday, lets appreciate what McM has done for the club.
Soapbox oratory noted.
