Whose being fickle. If you think that the performance on Sunday by Meli was not deserving of another run out then I've no idea what you call a good performance. Like I said injuries and games will come. I would only be fickle if like yourself I pinned my colours to the mast of particular players or coaches.

I'm more a performance based individual. I did not call for Royce to be sacked at any point in the first 7 games. But by the Hull game you could see the writting on the wall. I expected us to beat bradford which would save Royce and then we would lose the next 3 and then Royce would be sacked by Easter. Losing to Bradford just brought the end quicker than expected.

I shed no tears when all the previous coaches left and Royce is no different.

I didn't say it wasn't a good performance. Meli can give good performances, usually against the 'big guns'. However, he then goes missing. Everybody on here knows that. But one win by Saints and it's all forgotten. However, it won't be long before you're reminded, just as everyone always is with Meli.

I don't want Saints to lose Makinson. He is too much of a talent. But if he is now going to find himself as waterboy all the time then we will lose him.

Roby does not change Saints from a lack luster team that can't beat Bradford with 12 out. To a team that destroys Leeds.

Royce had an influence on that too.

I think players should be picked on form, if they are playing well then they keep their place. All this rotation crap don't work unless players need rests or carrying injuries.

Why should Meli make way for makinson and not Ade that's dropped?

IMO gaskell, foster, makinson, Dixon need to wait for their chance and then take it.

It's called competition for places!

Ade is more consistent and works harder than Meli. Makinson is the future and Meli is 32 or 33 and should be binned. I'm not taken in by Meli showing up for a good performance on the wing. I haven't been since 2007.

Pick players on form. Foster, Gaskell , Makinson etc need to play well in the u20 (maybe on a dual contract if the opportunity comes along) and wait for their chance in the team, it will come with injuries or loss of form of others then it's upto them to take the chance and keep the shirt.

Makinson has already proven himself capable. If turning the Grand Final around in our favour in your debut season with a brilliant piece of skill and initiative isn't being ready for the first team then nothing is.
