You have a short memory Pete. Remember last season? We were crap for the first third of it. I think we got two from six against Hudds, Wigan and Wire didn't we? And people were prophesying the end of the world then too but we still got to a GF. Might have won it too had we not had three injuries in ten minutes.
I didn't go to the match either but listened to Wish FM commentary, which is good. Our ball retention was poor in the second half, our discipline was poor throughout but our defence improved massively. Our senior players appear to be the problem, Shenny and Meli dropping ball with the line begging, for instance. Gaskell made one error with a kick which gave them their final try. Lomax kicked out on the full and missed the final conversion. All things that can be addressed, just as the defence was clearly addressed this last week. We will click, just as we clicked last season.
At least if Robes is out injured long term we have a first class replacement for him in Hohaia.
