Wrong. I'd suggest it. I love Wello to bits as everyone knows and I've defended him many times but now that I have seen Makinson in action I don't see how Saints can justify keeping Wello on. His best days are behind him. Makinson has all the right qualities and he is young and he is so very pacey.

Looking back on his career at saints I can't remover too many highs, there was a big tackle he made in his first game, and seem to remember him winning man of the match about three years ago when he showed glimpses of what everyone hoped he was capable of. Other than that, he has been pretty obscure. Solid player, but never worth an overseas spot.

Mr Solid, we would have been far far better keeping hold of Gilly. Not sure how he ever played SOO

He played well once for us I remember. There was one game at Knowsley Road where he played like Sculthorpe and it looked like he was going to kick on and be awesome. But he wasn't.

I think he got a serious injury just before he joined us, that is probably the reason he looks so utterly useless now. Seems a nice guy however and he always put the effort in so I've got a lot of time for him.

He doesnt take an overseas spot as he was signed before the rule change ( same with Meli ) We only kept him on this year as there were no better available uk players,Dixon or Flanagan to take his spot next year ( or others to prove they are worth it )

Hasn't been as good as Hooper, but hasn't been a stinker. It was time to move him on anyway and he knows it.

no not a stinker, and if he had just played 2nd row, people may not have had too much of a problem. The problem people have had was Flannery constantly getting picked at loose ahead of Wilkin, a guy with much more ability, also filling in at centre, after Talau left.

A work horse and model professional but played in positions that others could have played in much better.

IMO Flanno should only be a stand in player this year if everyone is fit, he's not our future and should only play if injuries occur? Lets see what Scott Hale can do first

Vets are expensive these days can we just use a snooker ball in a sock?

I think it was a televised game against Leeds. He had a good game at Huddersfield also where he scored a 40 meter try.

Thats Perry you are thinking of.

Actually Flannery, did break his leg the season before coming over here.
