Royce did an excellent job last year. I prefer him to Mick Potter, but if they didnt renew his contract due to not winning trophies (as the article says) why replace him with a coach who has also never won anything?

Hudds ain't really expected to win things as the likes of saints, Wigan, Leeds and wolves are seen as the main threats but brown has transformed hudds in to dark horses but realistically are never going to win anything. A couch can only take a team as far as his recourses allow.

He's a very good coach but IMO Royce is a assistant coach and won't make a great first team coach.

My only worry about Brown is the fact he's always saying he's going home ever year.

Brown is top quality coach and I'd be over the moon if saints took him. His team is always very well drilled.

To be fair, Royce was absolutely kippered last year with injuries and the unrest caused by eastmond and then the speculation surrounding graham and pryce. He did amazingly well to get us to the GF and there we came within a gnats todger of winning. I would prefer consistency, trophy or not this season, give him another two years.

Like I said, we don't look a well coached side even this year. We've not got any moves and our game plan isn't there for us to see if we have one.

He did a good job last year in the circumstances and off the field he's a top guy who goes out of his way to be friendly and attends many amateur club nights etc but IMO he's a ok coach and a very good assistant coach.

I'd be very disappointed if we gave him another deal.

I guess as a club we have to decide what we want to see on the field, do we still aspire to be the entertainers or do we want to be a well drilled side, which don't have to be exclusive but more often than not are. I think Royce wants us to be more expansive, many times in his postatch comments he has said he would prefer the team to take more chances. What we cannot do is have two years chasing an expansive game Nd then two years being well drilled. We need a long term vision, and to pick the coach to deliver it. Of we have a vision of being the entertainers, then I don't see brown is the coach to do it.

I think the club, players and fans aspire the same thing, to win cups.

Simple as that.
