I think Royce wanted to test combo's, Wellens and Shenton have not had a run in the backs, so if they are fit they will probably get a run out. With Gaskell out Royce can test Lance and Lomax as a halfback pair.
Royce also let LMS rest last week as he was the fittest prop, I think for experimentation he should run with 5 props this week, to see how that works with one at loose and keep the fitness progressing. Flannery to get another shot this week after his mare last week, Wheeler back on the bench , he may get a small run at half back if all goes well.
Dixon and Makinson to miss out as Royce knows what they can do.
I've kinda gone with what I would do, except wheeler. I doubt Wheeler will get a half back slot so not put him there. But if there was ever a good time to test him out there this would be the ideal time. We've let Gaskell have 2 and half games would let Wheeler have one see if he can hold it together.
