Josh Perry at fullback would be as much use as Wello, so any semi-mobile back would be a revelation.

Probably his absence the difference in winning this years Grand Final. The service to him has been pretty average so far, hopefully Lance will give him some quality ball next season.

I think he is one of if not the best defensive centre in the British game at present. It's no coincidence that when he went off injured in the 2009 Four Nations final England went from beating the Aussies to profoundly losing and when he went off injured in the 2011 Grand Final Saints went from beating Leeds to profoundly losing (mainly down his side). He also scored some tries for Saints during the 2011 in spite of getting virtually no service thanks to rookie halfbacks.

I have no idea where this put down of Shenton comes from but it is certainly not based upon his performances. I can only assume it comes from ignorance.

Shenton did start slow at saints but he had great finish to the season and was awesome in the play offs. He was just starting to look like the centre we thought as signed.

I don't think it was any coincidence that shentons form got better when lomax and Gaskell clicked during the last few games of the regular season up to the grand final.


Providing he recovers from his injury and we supply him better ball then he'll prove a good attacking weapon.

Shenton is s good defensive centre but o think he struggled a little last year at times in defence. His one on one at times has been suspect but I think he found it tough fitting in to a new defensive system. He defends 3rd man out at saints and i think it took him some time to get uses to it.


I've no doubt we'd be champions now if he hadn't gone off in the grand final.

Shenton and LMS are the ones I,m expecting better performances next season. They now have had there settling in year albeit in an injury ravaged team.
Shenton in theory next season should get a better service now from our half backs to give him that fraction of a second more space. For LMS I expect him to have more on the pitch time to negate the loss of Jammer.
I would assume that people who rate Shenton as average at best need to be proved wrong...........but only Shenton will do that and this coming season hopefully will be a productive one for him.

I think LMS was very dissapointing last season. He looked very average and didn't show any of the aggression he'd showed at Quins.
