Personally, assuming we have no injuries (and I don't know whether we do), why mess with a winning combination? If things are going well then we should keep things as they are except change Meli for Wheeler. I thought Meli was our weak link today.

I got told he's torn his groin and gone go the year.

I agree, meli wasn't great today and can't recall him touching the ball more than twice. Lucky enough he didn't come up with one of his brain farts but it's that time of year for him to make them.

In all seriousness, Meli has done little wrong this season (admittedly he was quiet today though) and I wouldn't risk replacing him with Wheeler at this stage.

Let's go with what we have, with maybe the option of some genuine strike on the bench in Pryce or Eastmond.

Meli was okay yesterday. He made a bit of a howler shifting the ball out to Foster near the end, and he was a little quiet, but his defence was fine (I do remember him missing Tomkins at one point, but he's not on his own there). Now's not the time to be shuffling the deck.

Whilst Leon can offer more threat than most, Gaskell is simply the only player on our squad that shows a genuine all round kicking game. Trying to win a match without this is an uphill battle.

Also, what about the kick through when the ball was on the floor to force a drop out!? Shades of Tommy in that one.

We've seen how the skinny kids (Tomkins & Roby for example) put meat on their bones, when/if Gaskell does this in the off season, he's going to be a very hard lad to pull down. He already is threatening to get through the other side of tackles, just not quite breaking away. If he carries on I can see him getting throught the line on a regular occasion next year.

Pryce should be on bench at best.He is leaving and has played very few games in last 12 months so why play him?
