Saints will be favourites but barring a poor display against Rovers we have been ticking along quite nicely since easter having won 6 and drawn one of our last 9. That point you got against us could prove to be very significant because had we won we would be looking to go level with you. As it is a win will take us 6th which has to be our minimum target now.

You have cited our forwards as the main threat but we have also started to play some pretty nice attacking rugby too. Our left side of Horne, Manu, Yeaman and Briscoe is on fire, in fact Manu may be in the form of his life. Westerman is starting to do some really nice things too.

I will be going to the game wary of what is still a very good Saints team but I am also fairly confident of a result.

More likely Sia will come back into the pack (least that would be my inclination).

Seeing the difference in go forward when Flannery (a grown up) takes the ball in, I wonder whether, if Ashe is fit, it may be worth playing him full back and letting Wello have a run in the backrow, to either prove or dispell the idea of him being suited to a role there.

Who will cover right centre in that case though? We actually looked strong there, and I thought that would be our weak wing. Mind you, Meli did do his usual not wanting to get his hair messed up approach to defence on Friday night. I should never have believed he was better at centre!

Simmons said Clough could be back two weeks earlier than the specialist recommended, which would take him to the Wakey away game rather than Hull. But he may be pressed into service against Hull. I just hope that doesn't do him further damage.
