I sincerely hope that the bit of extra cash from Sky does NOT go into expanding the numbers in the Superleague. The standard is not especially good at 14 teams. Heaven knows what it would slide to at 16 or even 15. And as said, we don't need yet another fixture. The little bit of extra cash should go to the clubs and if they then want to raise the money sent to the Championship by a little bit then all to the good.

Absolutely. The competition is still coming to terms with its expansion to 14 teams, and is going to need even more home grown players in the next couple of years when the non-federation exemptions run out and NRL players of any calibre are able to earn more by staying in Australia.

To balance this out, Sport England have cut the money we will get this coming year by about £900,000 due to not meeting participation targets. I think they did the same to Union earlier in the year for the same reason.

Well long as it does not go all in the players pockets as first time around, yes I agreed with increases in players wages to above average but not for players below average which is what happened. That is when money should have been invested in grounds!
