[quote='Fishsta"']I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.

Another classic:
[quote='Fishsta']You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
That's fair enough. I just found it funny that the the OP seemed to have a fairly large chip on his shoulder aimed at Wigan, despite nobody having actually provoked him.

Well actually he's probably fed up of Rogues, Nikos et al constantly on here constantly derailing threads or just generally being bitter.
That aside I'm pretty happy with the way things are going , and even if we don't win anything this year I can see next year in our new home , new signings and much stronger squad in general (all the young lads having far more experience) being a great year
cant be ar.sed to read the last few pages, but fwiw i thought it was a great game, played in a good spirit..........after calming down after the penalty award a draw was imo a fair result, neither side deserved to lose, and yes you have sum very good youngster there, really impressed with one or two of them..........must have been a cracking match to watch as a neutral
I'm a massive Wigan fan but don't 'detest' any other fans. Dislike on the grounds of their team of choice and the rivalry, yes. I'm sure the majority of Saints suporters don't 'detest' Wigan fans either. It doesn't belong in our sport, and if you honestly feel that way then you should either go and watch football or grow up.

Quite right! A slight vitriolic overreaction both from the OP in response to something on another team's boards (what did he/she expect?), and the posters who's posts wound him/her up so.
Whilst I agree to some extent about the issue of thread derailing, some posters need to learn to ignore certain opposition fans when they post or engage in witty banter instead of finger-pointing, whinging and resorting to personal insults. I appreciate it is occasionally annoying to read the opposition's ramblings but RLFans is an open RL forum where supporters of all clubs can interact freely across message boards and are encouraged to engage in conversation and debate, it is inevitable therefore that you will encounter opinions that do not match your own.
I am not about to open a debate on the topic yet again here so please continue in the praise of the Saints youth development programme.
We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Suely that last sentence is a red rag to a Rogues or anyone else who likes mis-chief

Ok then I'll bite! Yes we at Wigan are all really envious of all the talent coming through your youth ranks, we can't wait to start producing are own.....wait a minute.
And wannabes? What do we wannabe exactly?
P.S I do think Saints youngsters are doing a job at the moment, but idiots like the OP get on my nerves with all the "look at us" BS!
To be fair the OP did post it on the Saints forum. If he had gone trawelling to post it on a Wigan forum I could understand you biting. But as it is, you've had to go swimming to find a post to bite on.
As for our youth, they are doing a grand job. To be fair I was not too down at 18-0 it would not be the first time I have seen a first team Saints side get take apart at the KFC, I recall a similar battering with a full side from the golden years.
I think it was 20 point behind after 20 mins, god that was a bad game.
It comes to something that we where disappointed to lose that one. When we had a thread before the game about how we were going to lose the next 2 games.

Let's get this right for once and for all. I don't troll, but I do like a reasoned Rugby discussion, and as TS rightly says I won't bow down to one eyed Red Vee supporters just as I don't to some on the Cherry and White site.
I think your kids have done great, but apart from Lomax I wouldn't have any of them in front of the ones at Wigan. And my reasoning, look at the last three years U20/21 Grand Finals.

Those Grand Finals don't mean a great deal unless the players progress from the U20's to the 1st team and then develop their game to SL and hopefully International standard. There's been plenty of good players at that level that simply haven't stepped up and performed at 1st grade level, for whatever reason. Now I'm not saying we have superior youngsters, or vice versa, but I think we have a good set of young players and are producing much more in both quality and quantity than we did 10 years ago, ALOT more.
For example I wouldn't take one of your youth developed players over James Roby and James Graham, and that includes O'Loughlin and Tomkins.
